Our Team

Little Dipper Theatre was founded in 2021 by a group of artists based in and around Langley who are passionate about contributing to the theatre scene in the area.

We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers. We depend on ticket sales and donations to make ends meet for our productions and reoccurring costs.

Danielle holds a BA in theatre, and is passionate about storytelling and the way that theatre creates spaces to experience genuine human connection. Some favourite acting credits include Marie in Wild Light (Little Dipper), Martha in The Secret Garden (TJMT), Jaques in As You Like It (SAMC), Golde in Fiddler on the Roof (SAMC), Bufoona in Holy Mo (META), and most recently, in our 2025 production of Common Grace at Little Dipper, where she played Abby.

  • James Shannon

    TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

James is an eclectic jack-of-all-trades whose curiosity knows no bounds. While he has a relatively modest background in theatre, his love of learning has kept him busy picking up new skills. Among other things, he's led trail rides on a guest ranch; sailed the coast of BC; coached numerous sports at varying levels; and worked as a software developer, robotics engineer, signage fabricator, accountant, realtor, and day care worker. He has even been known to cook a 12 course meal just for the fun of it. He is very pleased to find this outlet for his multi-faceted skill set.

  • Jordan Ravensbergen

    DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Jordan signed up for theatre school because she wanted to have a job that would be ever changing, with each show presenting its own unique challenges so she would never get bored. Now, she is drawn to theatre for its special brand of magic in the creation and immersion of the world of a show. While she isn't shy of performing, she prefers to support shows backstage. You may have seen her prop Jellyfish in Little Dipper's Wild Light, her impressionist umbrellas in Our Town, or her coffee and scones in the realistic kitchen of Common Grace.

  • Vanessa Lazare

    SEASONAL PRODUCER-TECH

Vanessa is a performer, educator, and tour guide passionate about all things theatre! Vanessa is so excited to be back working with such a lovely company. She has performed on multiple Langley stages and works as a theatre instructor, director, and stage manager across metro Vancouver. Some of her favorite shows have been Rotten in the State of Denmark (BIV), West Side Story (CTORA), and of course Wild Light (Little Dipper). Vanessa would like to thank the Little Dipper team for bringing her back and can’t wait to get started on this new project!

  • Clara Nowak

    SEASONAL PRODUCER-MARKETING

After working with Little Dipper as an actor in Common Grace, Clara is excited to join the production team for this year. Her love for theatre started in her early school years, where she put on plays and musicals with her friends. Previous theatre experience is from when she was living in Vienna, performing in various theatres, which included charity performances to support child cancer research in Austria.  After producing Rotterdam at the PAL Vancouver, Clara knows she wants and needs to expand her knowledge in producing theatre, and is very grateful to get the chance to do just that with the amazing team at Little Dipper Co.

  • Steve Springman

    SEASONAL PRODUCER-TECH

Steve’s creative journey began in high school, where he practically lived at the theatre—first as a teacher’s assistant, then as an actor, and eventually a director. That early passion for storytelling and stagecraft evolved into a 20-year career behind the scenes, working in various roles in lighting equipment rentals for film, television, concerts, trade shows, theatrical lighting and corporate events. A lifelong music enthusiast, Steve has performed live in bands, spun sets as a DJ, and produced original tracks—always chasing the pulse of creative expression. You will have seen his lighting design in Little Dipper’s Common Grace.

  • Shawn Webster

    SEASONAL PRODUCER-DEVELOPMENT

Always a performer at heart, Shawn spent 24 years on radio and television in the Vancouver market before becoming a Realtor. In 2022, she was pulled back to what she always dreamed of doing....acting and voice over. Since then she has completed several projects including commercials and audio books. Shawn's stage acting debut was with Little Dipper Theatre in the role of Carol in their production of Common Grace, and that amazing experience cemented the theatre bug within her!  Shawn is pleased to be able to support Little Dipper by continuing to be involved on the back end.
